Sacrifices- Romans killed many innocent animals and even some people just to give sacrifices to the Gods and Goddesses.
Permission From The Gods- Romans were limited with what they could do because they constantly had to ask for permission from the Gods.
Short Life Span- Lots of Romans were dying because of diseases, sicknesses, starvation. and natural events.
Nudity- Romans were not embarrassed of nudity as we are to this day.
Sexism- Men had far more rights than woman which gave them many advantages and allowed them to live longer than woman.

Gladiators- Kings and rulers put gladiators into the Colosseum and got them to fight to the death with wild animals and other gladiators, their suffering entertained them.

Doctors- We both have doctors that you can go see if you were sick, but most Romans couldn't afford doctors.
Public Toilets- Both Modern Society and Romans have public toilets everywhere, for Romans believed that they were essential and they where hygienic.
CHRISTMAS!- We celebrate Christmas and the Romans had a festival in December that was like Christmas.
Respect For The Dead- Both Modern Society and Romans found it polite to go pay your respects to the daed and bring flowers and candles to show respect.
Large Death Rate- During the Roman time there was a large death rate because of diseases and because of starvation, and in modern society there is a large death rate because of many sicknesses like cancer, diseases, starvation and people are dying because they are to obese.

Great Education- Now a days we have great education for nearly every path and obsession you want to take up.
Nutrition- Food is a lot cheaper and easier to come by and we get the nutrition we need and if you are not getting enough of a mineral you can even buy tablets.
Medication- We have great knowledge, tools, medicine that we can use if someone is sick.
Free Country- We are a free nation and their are very few places that have slaves.
Food- Food is a lot cheaper and easy to get, fat isn't a luxury anymore and nor is fish it is red meat that most savour, but only the richest could get that in Roman times.
Technology- We have great technology now a days and it is great because it allows us to do so many things that we once couldn't but kids no longer entertain themselves outside but are glued to a screen which isn't a very positive thing.
Tools- We have great tools that allow us to do things quicker, better, faster and way more advanced. While Romans had the simplest of tools and had to do everything else by hand.
Guns- We have invented a horrible weapon that can kill easily. While the Romans thought with knives, spears, arrows and swords, even though more blood was speared less lives where taken for it is much easier to block a sword, arrow or spear than it is to block a bullet.
Lights- We have invented the lightbulb which has made it far easier to see in darkness and is a ver handy invention instead of having to use the dim light of a fire or candle.
